A meeting of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief's Staff discussed funding for the Defence Forces and faster production of Ukrainian strike systems and interceptors.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported this.

According to him, the main topic of the meeting was the needs of the security and defence sector for the autumn and winter period. Participants identified the key shortfalls and the additional resources required to develop the most technologically advanced types of weaponry.

Particular attention was paid to accelerating production of Ukrainian strike assets and new defensive systems, including jet-powered interceptors.

The intelligence services also reported on Russia’s current plans.

“We are preparing countermeasures and our asymmetric responses,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.

The meeting, held in its weekly format, also analysed the results of long-range strikes on Russian targets and of sanctions measures against the aggressor state. The President stressed that the plan agreed upon is being implemented, while priorities are being adjusted in line with the actual situation.

Ihor Klymenko delivered a separate report on the implementation of decisions taken by the Staff and the National Security and Defence Council, and on areas requiring additional attention.

The special services also reported on the progress of targeted operations against collaborators in the temporarily occupied territories, in particular in Sevastopol.

“Accountability for collaborators is inevitable,” the President of Ukraine stressed.
