President Approves New Operations to Keep the Initiative with Ukraine
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has met with the country's senior military leadership.
The President of Ukraine announced this on social media.
“We resolved important military issues today. We discussed personnel proposals,” the President said.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported that Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Mykhailo Drapatyi, working together with Ihor Skybiuk and Yevhenii Khmara, had put forward a vision for changes. Some decisions have already been prepared, and further ones will follow. The situation at the front was discussed in detail, including measures to reinforce key sectors, in particular in Donetsk region.
The President expressed gratitude to all the units achieving tangible results in defending Ukraine’s positions and destroying the occupiers in the areas of Sloviansk, Kostiantynivka and Dobropillia.

“I am grateful to the units of the Air Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine for their active operations in the designated areas — we agreed on the steps that can give our troops greater operational capabilities,” the President stressed.
The meeting also covered in detail the implementation of the plan for long-range sanctions against Russia, as well as Ukraine’s middle-strike operations. Some operations were adjusted, and new ones were approved.
“Ukrainian precision is what allows us not to cede the initiative in this war to the Russians and to count on the possibility of bringing diplomatic solutions closer,” the head of state said.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy thanked every soldier of the Unmanned Systems Forces, Ukraine’s missile forces, the Security Service of Ukraine and the intelligence services for ensuring that Ukraine’s long-range sanctions are carried out.
The President also reported that considerable attention had been devoted to air defence and to the needs of protecting frontline and border towns and communities, regional capitals and the national capital, which are coming under extremely brutal Russian strikes.
“I expect Ukraine’s diplomatic team to deliver precisely those results in securing our military capabilities that are objectively needed. The subject of air defence for Ukraine must be at the top of the agenda for every leader and every state in a position to help,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy stressed.
