President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has held a conversation with President of Finland Alexander Stubb.

The head of state announced this on social media.

The two leaders discussed strengthening Ukraine’s air defence and diplomatic efforts to achieve a just peace.

According to the head of state, the key topic was assistance to Ukraine in defending against Russian ballistic strikes. Zelenskyy stressed that interceptor missiles for air defence systems remain one of the most urgent defence priorities.

The President noted that Ukraine and its partners are aware of the missile stocks for air defence systems available worldwide, and emphasised that delivering them promptly would save Ukrainian lives.

“If every one of our partner countries helps us now, it will save a great many lives,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy stressed.

The head of state thanked Alexander Stubb for his prompt response and readiness to support Ukraine.

Beyond defence matters, the presidents discussed diplomatic mechanisms that could increase pressure on Russia and bring the end of the war closer.

“When Putin is no longer able to kill people, he will be forced to look for a way out of this war. Only sufficient support for Ukraine and coercion applied to Russia can secure peace,” the President of Ukraine said.
