Unmanned ground vehicles have carried out over 66,000 missions since the start of 2026, and the Ministry of Defence is scaling up purchases as demand surges.

While carrying out their tasks, unmanned ground vehicles operate even under enemy fire, delivering loads weighing between 200 and 300 kilograms. This allows them to replace service members in the most dangerous areas, which directly helps to save the lives of Ukraine’s defenders.

Demand for unmanned ground vehicles continues to grow

The need for unmanned ground vehicles is rising rapidly. In 2026 alone, military units have already placed orders for these systems worth almost UAH 1.9 billion through the eBaly (e-Points) programme on the Brave1 Market marketplace.

At the same time, Ukraine’s Ministry of Defence has significantly increased its procurement of this equipment in order to scale up its use on the front line. Since the beginning of the year, contracts have been signed for the delivery of more than 22,000 unmanned ground vehicles — almost double the figure for the whole of 2025.

Continuous improvement in line with the military’s needs

The wider use of unmanned ground vehicles is accompanied by systematic testing of their capabilities. The Brave1 defence technology cluster regularly puts these systems through trials in conditions as close as possible to real combat.

Such testing allows manufacturers to assess the effectiveness of their designs, identify technical shortcomings, receive practical feedback from the military and promptly refine their equipment in line with the current needs of the front.

The Ministry of Defence supplies the Defence Forces with the robotic systems they need, while Brave1 helps developers bring their solutions up to military standards. This collaboration makes the introduction of Ukrainian innovations into the armed forces fast, systematic and effective.

The joint efforts of Ukraine’s Ministry of Defence and Brave1 are aimed at developing and deploying the latest Ukrainian technologies as quickly as possible, since in wartime the speed of decision-making has a direct bearing on saving the lives of Ukrainian troops.
