Ukrainian Defense Forces strike two oil refineries, missile brigade base, and petroleum transshipment terminal in Crimea
During the night of 6 July, units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck the Slavneft-YANOS oil refinery in Yaroslavl.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported the attack.
Explosions were recorded in the target area, followed by smoke rising from the facility.
The Yaroslavl Oil Refinery (Slavneft-YANOS) is one of the largest oil refineries in the Russian Federation. Its designed processing capacity is 15 million tonnes of crude oil per year. The plant produces motor gasoline, diesel fuel, aviation fuel, lubricants, and other petroleum products used, among other purposes, to support the military logistics of the aggressor state.
Among other targets struck were the NOVATEK Ust-Luga oil refinery (near the settlement of Slobodka) and the permanent deployment site of the enemy’s 26th Missile Brigade in the area of Luga, Leningrad Region of the Russian Federation.
Ukrainian forces also struck the TES-Terminal-1 light petroleum products transshipment terminal in Kerch.
TES-Terminal-1 is one of the largest storage and transshipment complexes for light petroleum products in Crimea. Its tank farm receives, stores, and dispatches gasoline, diesel fuel, and other petroleum products, including supplies intended for the occupying forces operating in southern Ukraine.
In addition, Ukrainian forces struck a railway overpass near Dovzhansk in Luhansk Region, which the enemy uses to transport personnel, weapons, ammunition, and logistical supplies.
A Russian UAV storage facility near Chervonopopivka and a concentration of military equipment near Pysarivka, Luhansk Region, were also hit.
The extent of the damage is being assessed.
