Ukraine’s Defence Forces Strike Russia’s Dubna Space Communications Centre for the Second Time
Defence Forces of Ukraine have carried out a second strike on the Dubna Space Communications Centre in Russia's Moscow region.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced the operation.
The facility is a key satellite communications hub used, among other purposes, for intelligence gathering and coordinating the activities of Russia’s occupation forces operating against Ukraine.
The site is located more than 500 kilometres from Ukraine’s state border.
Earlier, Ukraine’s Defence Forces had already struck four similar Russian facilities located in both the Moscow and Vladimir regions.
Following the June 22 strike, damage was confirmed to the hardware-and-module complex of a 32-metre MARK-IV antenna used for satellite communications, as well as to a technical building adjacent to the antenna.
“We are systematically implementing our plan of long-range strikes and making it as difficult as possible for the aggressor state to conduct offensive operations against Ukraine and sustain the occupation of our territories. Similar actions against other enemy facilities are also being prepared,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
