President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said this in an interview with The Guardian.
According to the head of state, Ukrainian troops now possess knowledge and skills that no other NATO army has. He emphasized that this is not theoretical knowledge, but the daily experience of fighting a modern war.
“We have this kind of experience. It is priceless. It is not about money, it is about human lives,” the Ukrainian President said.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted that Ukraine is ready to share these lessons learned with its partners. This applies first and foremost to the use of drones, air defense, naval unmanned systems, intelligence, command and control, and battlefield coordination between units.
According to him, allies are closely studying Ukraine’s experience because new approaches to modern warfare are being shaped in Ukraine right now.
“Today, having Ukraine in NATO is in NATO’s interest,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy stressed.
At the same time, he emphasized that NATO membership is also important for Ukraine itself. This concerns not only security guarantees, but also participation in a broader system of collective defense.
The President added that Ukraine is already sharing technological solutions with partners that have proven effective in war. In particular, this concerns naval drones, which have become one of the key tools for protecting Ukraine’s coastline and safeguarding security in the Black Sea.
