Currently, around 20 occupiers remain in the central part of Kupiansk. They are exhausted and completely cut off from ground supply.

This was stated during the national telethon “United News” by Viktor Trehubov, spokesperson of the Joint Forces Grouping.

According to him, the enemy’s initial plan was to capture the city and, most importantly, the Kupiansk-Vuzlovyi railway station to secure logistics for further advance southward.

However, the enemy failed to achieve this objective.

“There was some initial progress, but then a significant rollback occurred. Now the Russians are trying to resume the same offensive on Kupiansk, but at present, their numbers in the city are around one to two dozen, and near Kupiansk they cannot even approach the city limits”, — he said.

The occupiers remaining in the city are ordinary infantry — some wounded, others exhausted.

They are currently hiding in the basement of a destroyed apartment building in the city center.

“These are not some elite saboteurs — just regular Russian soldiers who managed to infiltrate the central streets of Kupiansk.

There are wounded among them, certainly. If they have about 10 active call signs, then their total number is around 20.

All of them are in poor condition, considering they have been sitting in the basement of a destroyed building.

The supplies that sometimes reach them come exclusively by air — dropped by drones. A drone cannot deliver anything heavy”, — the spokesperson added.
