“They climb over the bodies of their own”: in Kharkiv region Russians advance over the corpses of their predecessors
In the Vovchansk direction, occupiers are surrendering en masse due to demotivation and loss of faith, as they literally have to advance over the corpses of the
This was reported during an Army TV stream on March 9 by Ruslana Bohdan, an officer of the communications unit of the 57th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade named after Koshovyi Otaman Kost Hordiienko.
“There are indeed many prisoners of war; they constantly surrender, including through the ‘I Want to Live’ project. We use various methods to bring them out from their positions, but indeed the enemy is very numerous here. These military units that are positioned opposite us are constantly receiving reinforcements, including foreigners”, — she said.
Usually prisoners say they had been promised calm service in rear positions but were instead thrown onto the front line.
“The stage when they all claimed they were ‘at exercises’ has already passed. Now prisoners constantly say they had been serving in rear positions and were sent here, and they did not want to kill anyone”, — the servicewoman reported.
The main reason why Russians surrender en masse is demotivation caused by the number of dead comrades’ bodies they see on the battlefield.
“To reach our positions they move through the bodies of their own. There are very many bodies here in the Vovchansk direction. And the Russians do not take them away, even though we have repeatedly provided such an opportunity.
We have seen many cases where they simply climb over the bodies of their own and keep moving forward. Nevertheless, this still affects a person psychologically — they understand that they need to surrender”, — Ruslana Bohdan explained.
