Paratroopers rescued a severely wounded comrade near Pokrovsk using a robotic ground system
As a result of an enemy mine explosion, the soldier suffered a partial amputation of his lower limb.
Footage of the rescue was published on the page of the 25th Separate Airborne Sicheslav Brigade of the Air Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
On the Pokrovsk direction, paratroopers of the 25th Sicheslav Brigade of the 7th Rapid Response Corps together with fighters of the 68th Separate Jaeger Brigade named after Oleksa Dovbush carried out a joint mission to evacuate the wounded from the position.
The evacuation was conducted using the Bizon ground robotic complex.
The evacuation was complicated by heavy mining of the area and a large number of enemy drones in the sky.
The total route length was 24 km (12 km one way).
During the evacuation constant communication with the wounded soldier was maintained through the internal communication system inside the robotic capsule. However, during movement the robotic system was hit by an enemy FPV drone and communication with the wounded soldier was lost.
Silence filled the radio. Hope that the wounded soldier had managed to jump out of the capsule faded with every minute.
Imagine the commander’s emotions when a call from the pilot appeared on the phone screen.
“Commander, I’m alive. I didn’t receive any additional injuries. I managed to jump out and reached the position of a neighboring unit of the 68th Jaeger Brigade”, — the commander recounts.
Further evacuation was carried out by comrades. After being taken out of the kill zone, the wounded soldier was delivered to a stabilization point, where he received all the necessary medical care.
As the brigade notes, modern technologies, quick decision-making and the joint actions of neighboring units together form a coordinated system that today ensures the saving of lives.
