“Air Defense-cide” continues: Unmanned Systems Forces operators hit a Tor-M2 air defense system
In the Donetsk region, fighters of the 414th Brigade “Birds of Magyar” detected and struck an enemy Tor-M2 surface-to-air missile system.
Footage of the strike was published on the page of the Unmanned Systems Forces.
The Tor-M2 is capable of simultaneously tracking dozens of targets, detecting them at significant distances, and engaging a wide range of aerial objects.
Russian troops actively use these systems to counter Ukrainian UAVs, intercept missiles, and cover unit positions and important rear facilities.
As noted in the statement, this is why the systematic “air-defense-cide” carried out by Unmanned Systems Forces units against the enemy is one of the key areas of combat work.
Weakening the enemy’s air defense limits its ability to control the airspace while opening additional opportunities for the use of strike capabilities by the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
