“One scenario — logistics and advancing small infantry groups”: Russian heavy equipment is kept away from the front line
In the Pokrovsk direction, Russian tanks and artillery are at least 10 km from the front line.
The enemy relies on infiltrating infantry into the inter-position space and disrupting Ukrainian logistics.
This was reported on March 2 during an ArmyTV stream by battle captain of the 1st Battalion “Predators of the Heights” of the 59th Separate Assault Brigade of UAV Systems named after Yakiv Handziuk, Sergeant Roman Pidlubnyi.
“The enemy sticks to a single scenario — movement in small assault groups.
They have also increased their aerial component and are actively targeting our logistics. Their whole scenario is logistics and advancing small infantry groups”, — he said.
To ensure their own logistics, Russians increasingly use ground robotic systems.
“They increased the number of GRS (ground robotic systems). Now the enemy tries to conduct most logistical tasks using GRS and drones. These are the innovations they’re implementing”, — the soldier noted.
The enemy assaults only with infantry because heavy armored vehicles must be kept at least 10 km from the front line.
“At the front edge and between our positions, they try to advance on foot.
Armored vehicles remain 10+ kilometers away. Tanks are used as artillery from firing positions, as are self-propelled guns and towed artillery”, — said Pidlubnyi.
