In January–February, Russians tried to storm positions north of Kharkiv using infantry only, abandoning the use of armored vehicles.
However, the enemy, apparently, did not plan its assault actions at all, relying solely on random luck.
This was reported during an ArmyTV livestream on March 2 by the deputy company commander of the 13th Operational Battalion of the National Guard of Ukraine’s “Khartia” Brigade, call sign “Porokh”.
“These small infantry groups have been used for several months now, after they ran out of armored assaults. They realized it was no longer rational, so they began using more infantry. We’ve been observing this since around the beginning of summer 2025”, — he said.
At the same time, the occupiers do not conduct any serious planning or preparation for assault actions.
“In terms of logistics, we don’t see any supply chain for those groups that can make it into the grey zone, nor do we see any significant equipment. Recently, last month, we were attacked by these infantry groups. Firstly, I can say that nothing remained of those groups that tried to reach our positions. Secondly, it wasn’t any special operation. The fighters themselves weren’t special forces. Overall, their preparation for such actions is quick, hasty, minimal, and poses no threat to us”, — Porokh assured.
