This was reported on March 2 by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Oleksandr Syrskyi.
The meeting addressed the use of specialized telemedicine systems (portable and stationary), which:
The use of telemedicine complexes:
“I heard reports on the practical experience of implementing telemedicine in marine infantry combat units, territorial defense battalions, and training centers.
Based on the analysis of feedback from primary-level medical personnel of frontline units, a conclusion was made about the feasibility of further deployment and scaling of telemedicine systems in all branches and types of troops, primarily in battalion medical points of combat units”, — Oleksandr Syrskyi noted.
According to him, expanding telemedicine consultations may become an additional tool for reducing the risks of unauthorized abandonment of military units (AWOL), particularly in training centers, where insufficient medical support for trainees was cited as one of the reasons.
According to the report from one of the leading training centers, within four months after the introduction of telemedicine consultations, the number of AWOL cases decreased by 25%.
The meeting also considered proposals from the Medical Forces Command regarding increasing the amount of telemedicine equipment and expanding the list of units where it is used.
“I support the implementation of these measures.
We also addressed the issue of physical recovery of servicemen after completing combat missions, taking into account the practical experience of the 412th Nemesis drone brigade.
I thank the medics for their professionalism and for preserving the lives and health of our warriors. We continue our joint work to achieve the defined goals. Glory to Ukraine!” — wrote Oleksandr Syrskyi.
