Mykhailo Fedorov and Robertas Kaunas met in Kyiv to discuss prospects for cooperation between the defense industries of both countries.

Mykhailo Fedorov emphasized the importance of focusing joint projects on the current needs of the Defense Forces, particularly in the field of extended-range artillery.

The parties discussed expanding defense cooperation and priority areas of support for Ukraine. Lithuania confirmed its readiness to support the creation of a joint drone-production enterprise.

Fedorov thanked Lithuania for its consistent support at the level of 0.25% of its GDP annually, as well as for its contributions to the PURL mechanism. The parties also discussed the possibility of allocating the SAFE credit to support Ukraine as early as this year.

They also discussed strengthening Lithuania’s defense capabilities to counter “Shaheds”. Ukraine is ready to share practical experience and help launch new capabilities within short timeframes.
