An operation of the Air Assault Forces grouping of the Armed Forces of Ukraine continues in the Oleksandrivka direction.
Ihor Tambiiev, a staff sergeant of the communications unit of the 82nd Separate Air Assault Bukovyna Brigade of the 8th Air Assault Corps, said this on Suspilne.
“We are doing quite well. The AAF grouping, together with other units, is advancing; we have clearly defined tasks that we are fulfilling. The enemy is trying to resist, but they’re not very successful”, — Ihor Tambiiev said.
The situation is dynamic and constantly changing. Weather conditions strongly affect both Ukrainian Defense Forces and enemy actions: “But overall I can say everything is going well for us”.
Such operations are planned in advance; our soldiers had several scenarios prepared, he added. Paratroopers have significant experience in such operations and are successfully applying it now in the Oleksandrivka direction. Recently, two of our soldiers cleared a house where 10 enemy soldiers were located.
“The enemy still tries to infiltrate our interpositional space in small groups. At the same time, they do not always understand where we are, because the effect of surprise was used. It even comes to the point that we take positions of their drone operators”, — Ihor Tambiiev said.
Similarly, due to misunderstanding of the situation, the enemy brings manpower to positions already occupied by Ukrainian units or controlled by our drones.
