Every day in the Lyman direction, the 63rd Separate Mechanized Brigade eliminates from 5 to over 40 russian occupiers.

This was reported on February 20 during an ArmyTV stream by Captain Rostyslav Yashchyshyn, head of the brigade’s communications department.

“On the seriousness scale, it’s 10 out of 10. Everyone understands that Lyman and probably Kupiansk — but definitely Lyman — are top priorities for the enemy.

Everyone knows that Lyman opens the road to Sloviansk. So holding Lyman is extremely important for us, and capturing it is crucial for them”, — he said.

Because of the importance of the direction, the enemy constantly deploys a large amount of infantry here.

Sometimes small groups manage to approach the outskirts of Lyman.

“A huge amount of infantry infiltrates or tries to infiltrate. Sometimes, by some miracle, they crawl to the city itself, the outskirts.

Fortunately, we manage to handle them. It’s not a mass phenomenon, more like episodic moments, but they appear”, — he added.

On “good” days the brigade destroys more than 40 enemy storm troops; on “bad” — about five.

“It depends not on how well our drones work, but on how many russians climb at our positions. Sometimes they have problems and send fewer than usual”, — the officer explained.

Overall, the situation remains unchanged from last year.

“In principle, their infantry climbs the same way as last year. What is interesting — from time to time MLRS appear. Our drone battalion destroyed two ‘Grads’ in February — one this morning. That’s pleasant. Otherwise, nothing major has changed”, — Yashchyshyn summarized.
