In the Lyman direction, a captured Russian soldier was transported to the rear with the help of a ground robotic system.
It was a joint operation of the 115th Separate Mechanized Brigade and the 20th Separate “K-2” Drone Systems Brigade.
This was told during an Army TV livestream on February 19 by the acting head of the command post of the 20th Drone Systems Brigade “K-2”, call sign “Ram”.
“There is currently a problem with weather conditions — very difficult conditions unfavorable for us, so to speak. We do not stop trying to evacuate both the fallen from adjacent units and the wounded. We manage, we try, we strive not to leave anyone behind”, — he said.
Recently, using the GRS, they even evacuated a captured Russian invader from the front line.
“It was a joint operation with the 115th Brigade. They captured the enemy and contacted us for help to extract him using the ground robotic system. We agreed, of course, and such an interesting mission came out of this cooperation”, — the soldier said.
He added that the Russian thanked both the “K-2” fighters and the 115th Brigade for rescuing him.
“The prisoner even thanks us for taking him out. He thanks the 115th Brigade for capturing him and thanks us for evacuating him”, — Ram noted.
Ram did not speak to this particular prisoner, but he said the stories of all occupiers are typical and have already become tiresome.
“With this specific prisoner, I did not speak, so I have no information about him. We only evacuated him to the rear so that the 115th Brigade could interrogate him properly and pass him along according to procedure. They all have the same story: ‘We just came here, untrained’. Many say they came for money. So they all have the same story. Honestly, I’m not even interested anymore”, — the Ukrainian serviceman said.
