Ending the war in Ukraine requires diplomatic steps and real negotiations — not historical rambling, which the Russian delegation engages in.

President Volodymyr Zelensky said this in an interview with journalist Piers Morgan.

“I don’t need all this historical talk to end this war and move to diplomacy. Because it is only a tactic to stall for time. I have read no fewer history books than Putin. And I have learned a lot. I know more about his country than he knows about Ukraine”, — Zelensky said.

The President added that Russians themselves chose their system and decided they needed a new tsar.

“That is their choice. But there is the issue of security. There is a major war against us. These are our lives. The only thing I want to talk to him about is what, in my opinion, needs to be resolved successfully — I mean to end this war quickly. That is why I want to talk only about such things”, — he said.
