Fighters of the 46th Separate Airmobile Podillia Brigade captured a former Russian convict who voluntarily decided to go fight against Ukraine.

A video of the conversation with him was published on the brigade’s channel.

Andriy from Chelyabinsk spent most of his life in prison — of his 46 years, he spent 26 behind bars.

He voluntarily decided to go to war against Ukraine, but his service did not last long. During his very first combat mission, the occupier was captured by fighters of the 46th Separate Airmobile Podillia Brigade of the Air Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

“His story is yet another example of how the Russian system throws people with criminal pasts into the war, for whom this ‘mobilization’ becomes not a path to freedom, but another circle in an already failed life”, — Ukrainian defenders wrote.
