Minister of Defense of Ukraine Mykhailo Fedorov held meetings in Brussels ahead of the “Ramstein” Defense Contact Group session.

He met with:

  • EU Commissioner for Defense and Space Andrius Kubilius

  • EU High Representative Kaja Kallas

  • Romanian Defense Minister Radu-Dinel Miruțe

  • Lithuanian Defense Minister Robertas Kaunas

  • Danish Defense Minister Troels Poulsen

  • Dutch Defense Minister Ruben Brekelmans

  • Italian Defense Minister Guido Crosetto

  • German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius

  • Swedish Defense Minister Pål Jonson

They discussed:

  • New contributions to the PURL program for acquiring critical air-defense assets

  • Funding for Ukrainian drones and missiles

  • Development of joint defense projects and cooperation in the defense-industrial sector

“One of our goals is to build win-win relationships with partners. This is key to fulfilling the goals set by the President: protect the sky, stop the enemy on land and sea, weaken its economy, and act against it in the cognitive domain”, — Fedorov said.

Ukraine is forming a new defense model — low-cost technological solutions, rapid innovation cycles, and data-driven command.

Fedorov also spoke at the EU Council and thanked for the decision to allocate €90 billion in financial support to Ukraine.

The next “Ramstein” meeting will take place at NATO Headquarters in Brussels on February 12.
