On the afternoon of February 11, Russian occupation forces carried out an air attack on Ukraine using Kh-47M2 Kinzhal aeroballistic missiles.
According to the Air Force of Ukraine, around 14:40 the enemy launched Kinzhal missiles from MiG-31K aircraft that took off from the Savasleyka airfield in Nizhny Novgorod region, Russia.
“A set of countermeasures was implemented; enemy missiles did not reach their targets. Remember to follow safety rules and not ignore air-raid alarms”, — the statement says.
The mayor of Lviv, Andriy Sadovyi, reported that the missiles were heading toward the regional center and were neutralized by air defense.
As of this moment, there are no reports of destruction or casualties. Municipal services are inspecting the area.
“This is titanic work. We thank our defenders for protection”, — he wrote.
