From construction work to military service: how the fighter with the callsign “Bulava” became a squad leader
Junior Sergeant Volodymyr, callsign “Bulava”, squad commander of an artillery battery of the 38th Separate Marine Brigade, has been destroying the enemy and defending his native land alongside his brothers-in-arms for four years.
His story was shared on the page of the 38th Brigade.
Before the full-scale invasion, Volodymyr worked in the construction sector in Kyiv. From the first days of the large war, he voluntarily joined Ukraine’s defense and signed a contract with the 38th Marine Brigade, becoming part of the large and strong family of marines.
During his service he repeatedly proved his devotion to the military oath, demonstrating courage, endurance, and professionalism. For outstanding personal achievements and exemplary performance of duties, Volodymyr received the rank of junior sergeant and became a squad leader.
“Despite the opportunity to leave after his contract ended, he consciously chose to continue service — until Ukraine’s complete victory”, — the message says.
“Bulava” began his combat path in the Vuhledar direction, later took part in the defense of Kherson region, and today performs combat missions in one of the hottest directions of the front — the Pokrovsk sector.
Together with his brothers-in-arms, he brings our victory closer every day, demonstrating the resilience and strength of the Ukrainian warrior.
