Around 6,000 FPV drones destroyed after strike on Russian UAV depot
Ukraine’s Defense Forces struck a Russian ammunition depot, an enemy command post, and confirmed the destruction of a UAV storage site on Russian territory.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on February 9.
As part of efforts to reduce the offensive capabilities of the Russian aggressor, Ukrainian Defense Forces continue inflicting fire damage on enemy military facilities in temporarily occupied territories and within the Russian Federation.
In particular, during the night of February 9, a command post of a Russian airborne unit was struck near the town of Sudzha, Kursk region.
In the temporarily occupied part of Kherson region, near the settlement of Novooleksiivka, an enemy ammunition depot was hit.
Additionally, based on previous strikes — including the UAV depot near Rostov-on-Don, Rostov region — the destruction of three containers with FPV drones and components has been confirmed.
“According to preliminary data, about 6,000 FPV drones were destroyed. Several other drone containers were also damaged”, — the statement reads.
Enemy losses and the scale of inflicted damage are being clarified.
