Defense Forces intercepted 406 air targets during Russia’s new massive strike
During the night of Saturday, February 7, Russian occupation forces carried out a combined strike with hundreds of drones and dozens of missiles of various types targeting Ukraine’s critical infrastructure.
This was reported by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to available data, in total the enemy launched 447 weapons across various regions, including:
- 2 Zircon missiles (launched from temporarily occupied Crimea);
- 21 Kh-101 cruise missiles (launched from the Caspian Sea);
- 16 Kalibr cruise missiles (launched from the Black Sea);
- 408 Shahed-type strike UAVs, Geran, Italmas, and other types, launched from Bryansk, Kursk, Orel, Shatalovo, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk (Russia), Donetsk (temporarily occupied territory), and Hvardiiske (occupied Crimea).
Main directions of the strike: Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Rivne, and Vinnytsia regions.
As of 10:30 AM, Ukrainian air defense shot down or suppressed 406 targets — 24 missiles and 382 drones:
- 14 Kh-101 cruise missiles;
- 10 Kalibr cruise missiles;
- 382 enemy UAVs of various types.
“Strikes of 13 missiles and 21 strike UAVs were recorded at 19 locations, as well as impacts of debris from downed drones at three locations. Information regarding two enemy missiles is being clarified”, — the Air Force added.
