Volodymyr Zelensky announced personnel changes in the Ukrainian Air Force concerning protection from Russian Shaheds.
He stated this in his evening address on February 6.
“First — the Air Force of the Armed Forces. There will be personnel changes, for now — in certain regions, in units related to protection from Russian Shaheds.
The small air defence component — specifically countering strike drones — must work significantly stronger and not allow the problems we currently have”, — the President said.
According to him, in some directions the defensive lines are built better; in others, much more work is needed.
“It’s important that the Minister of Defence is working on this issue, the Air Force commander has received additional instructions, and there are enough forces within our Defence and Security Forces of Ukraine — enough experience that can and must be scaled.
Everything that works effectively in one direction or at one level must be applied everywhere where results are still insufficient.
And every day matters. All decisions must be implemented as quickly as possible”, — Zelensky emphasized.
