Commander-in-Chief of the AFU, General Oleksandr Syrskyi, met with Ukrainian and foreign journalists on February 6.
He wrote about this on his page.
“Despite the difficult situation at the front and constant activity on the hottest sectors, we devote attention to working with the media. The enemy conducts an active information war, so objective information for Ukrainian and international audiences is critically important”, — Syrskyi emphasized.
He provided detailed information about the operational situation in key directions.
“Ukrainian soldiers not only conduct defensive operations but also actively counterattack the enemy. Every fourth combat engagement consists of our units acting in the offensive”, — he said.
Syrskyi also spoke about strengthening air defense systems and all their components, cooperation with partners on the supply of anti-aircraft missiles, domestic developments, and scaling up units with interceptor drones.
He also discussed the results of the corps reform, the further development of assault troops, and cyber forces.
He separately addressed the development of medical forces — whose capabilities directly determine the most valuable resource: the lives of Ukrainian soldiers.
According to Syrskyi, the priority is further technological strengthening of all branches of the Armed Forces.
“We must win the technology battle. Artificial intelligence, machine vision, automated target adjustment, ground robotic systems — these areas are developing and scaling systematically”, — he noted.
He thanked journalists for their objective coverage of complex topics, operational cooperation, and support of Ukrainian fighters destroying the occupier at the front.
