Throughout January 2026, Ukraine’s Defense Forces carried out a series of successful strikes on a complex of hangar-type buildings used for prelaunch preparation of medium-range intercontinental ballistic missiles at the “Kapustin Yar” test site in Russia’s Astrakhan region.

This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Long-range Ukrainian-made strike weapons were used against Russian military facilities, including the FP-5 “Flamingo”.

According to available information, part of the buildings at the test site sustained varying levels of damage; one of the hangars was significantly damaged, and part of the personnel was evacuated from the area.
