When near Pokrovsk the enemy captured four Ukrainian servicemen, strike UAVs arrived to aid the captured. Drone operators not only eliminated the enemy assault troops but also helped free the four Ukrainian soldiers from captivity.
This was reported in an exclusive comment to ArmyInform by Svitlana Rezvan, press officer of the 25th Separate Airborne Sicheslav Brigade of the 7th Corps of Ukraine’s Air Assault Forces.
“It was a livestream from a ‘Mavic’, and we were standing by the screen examining what was happening, analyzing the situation. At first there were some unclear movements — someone standing somewhere, looking somewhere.
Overall, we counted nine people. Four were our guys, and five were Russians who controlled and escorted them. Our guys were disarmed while the occupiers carried weapons — this allowed us to understand who was who,” she said.
After a rapid assessment of the situation, strike drones immediately moved in.
“Our drones arrived, and we could clearly see our disarmed infantrymen just as they, on command, began moving toward the tree line.
The enemy behaved quite arrogantly — the Russians were walking at full height and fairly calmly. But when the first three or four of our drones arrived, they began squatting, running around, and shooting back.
This allowed our guys to take advantage of the situation and run in the opposite direction”, — the press officer explained.
Thus, modern means of warfare can be useful in any situation, and technological superiority becomes decisive on the battlefield.
The tech-airborne force is winning on the battlefield — and this is fully understood and implemented in the 25th Separate Airborne Sicheslav Brigade and the 7th Corps of Ukraine’s Air Assault Forces.
“Today we are witnessing how dramatically warfare has changed and how important drones are, because essentially it was with the help of a flock of drones that we recaptured our prisoners. The simultaneous appearance of a large number of our drones made it possible for our captured men to escape.
The guys also oriented themselves correctly — they ran in the opposite direction at the right moment, while the occupiers began squatting, hiding, scattering. Then our drones finished the job — chased the Russians across the tree line and destroyed that assault group”, — summarized Svitlana Rezvan.
