In the Hulyaipole direction, there were more than 30 combat engagements over the past day. This remains the hottest area of hostilities in the south of the country.
This was reported on air of the “United News” telethon by Vladyslav Voloshyn, spokesperson for the Defense Forces of Southern Ukraine.
According to him, in total, Russians lost about 10,000 personnel in the south in January. In addition, compared to the previous month, the number of combat engagements increased by more than 200 — currently totaling almost 1,350 enemy assaults. The enemy was most active in January in the Hulyaipole direction. There, the number of battles increased by 62%, which amounts to nearly a thousand combat engagements in a month. The enemy’s losses are very significant. That is why it is throwing reinforcements toward Hulyaipole.
“According to our intelligence, in January the enemy transferred about 1,300 individuals to replenish the assault units operating in the Hulyaipole direction. These individuals include members of the so-called special contingent — essentially prisoners. And people suffering from illnesses such as hepatitis C”, — the spokesperson said.
