“No Calm, No One Is Agreeing on Anything”: Intelligence Directorate Intercepted Russian Complaints About the War
The full-scale war has been ongoing for four years, and despite constant statements about fighting “to the last Ukrainian,” Russian citizens feel the real situation — and continue complaining about war, poverty, and government lies.
An intercepted audio recording was published on January 28 by Ukraine’s Defense Intelligence.
“Yesterday they wrote — Graivoron and Borisovsky district were shelled. No calm at all”, — one speaker complains when discussing the daily unrest in Russia’s border regions.
“From January, it will be 27 (thousand), they could have at least made it 50, right?” — another voice says.
Meanwhile, pensions are 20–30 thousand rubles, and propagandists advise planting vegetable gardens and keeping livestock.
