Occupiers are amassing heavy equipment near Novohrodivka
The enemy is increasing pressure on the northern part of Myrnohrad. Small-arms fighting continues in the city center. For a further assault on “Upper” Myrnohrad, the Russians continue to amass heavy equipment in the Novohrodivka area.
This was reported in a statement by the 7th Air Assault Corps of the Air Assault Forces as of January 27 regarding the situation in the Pokrovsk agglomeration.
“For a further assault on ‘Upper’ Myrnohrad, the Russians continue to accumulate heavy equipment in the Novohrodivka area. In cooperation with the 1st National Guard Corps ‘Azov’, we are blocking the enemy along the line ‘eastern outskirts of Myrnohrad — Krasnyi Lyman — Rodynske’”, — the paratroopers reported.
In Pokrovsk, the enemy has concentrated its main efforts on occupying Hryshyne. Taking advantage of adverse weather conditions, the enemy is accumulating light equipment and personnel in the industrial zone in the northwest of the city.
Subsequently, the enemy is attempting to advance toward Hryshyne along several routes.
Recently, a group of Russians managed to infiltrate Hryshyne. However, through coordinated actions, Ukrainian defenders destroyed the enemy.
Overall, within the area of responsibility of the 7th Air Assault Corps, the enemy’s use of UAVs of various types has significantly increased. The enemy is more actively launching “Molniya” drones as mothership drones carrying two FPVs on board and subsequently delivering a triple strike on a target.
Cases of fiber-optic drones being used, reaching more than 20 km deep into Ukrainian defenses, have been recorded.
The number of enemy strikes by tactical aviation is also increasing. Over the past week, the enemy dropped nearly 360 aerial bombs on the Pokrovsk agglomeration, which is 20% more than the previous week.
