The realities of the war in Myrnohrad were described by a UAV pilot of the 503rd Marine Battalion “Borsuky”, call sign “Taxi Driver”.

The interview video was released on the battalion’s channel on January 23.

“The war has to end someday. But whether it will be long or not is hard to say. The enemy continues assaults. I am ready to fight until the end”, —  “Taxi Driver” emphasized.

The serviceman performs a wide range of tasks — from aerial reconnaissance and fire adjustment to logistics and direct destruction of enemy manpower. He noted that he had several times entered positions directly in Myrnohrad, where the situation remains tense.

He shared details of enemy tactics, including how Russian units attempt to detect Ukrainian positions and what methods they use for camouflage and surveillance.

Separately, he spoke about operational challenges and the role of drones in modern warfare.

“At night it’s a bit easier because you rely on thermal imaging. During the day, especially in summer, it’s harder when everything turns green — you have to check every crevice and look very carefully”, — he said.

Despite constant pressure and enemy attempts to break through, Ukrainian defenders are holding their positions, using the advantages of aerial reconnaissance and coordinated unit operations.
