Cadets of Higher Military Educational Institutions can receive up to UAH 20,000
Cadets of the Military Institute of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv receive full state support. This amount is set for all higher military educational institutions.
This was stated in an interview with ArmyInform by Colonel Oleksandr Ostapenko, Head of the Department of Financial Support of Troops of the Faculty of Support and Journalism of the Military Institute of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.
The support includes financial, clothing, food, and medical provision, including dental services.
“Since May 2025, the Cabinet of Ministers has increased the amount of monetary support for cadets. Now a first-year cadet, including bonuses, receives more than UAH 10,000. A graduating cadet (if an honors student) receives more than UAH 20,000”, — Oleksandr Ostapenko said.
He also emphasized that the Military Institute has fully fulfilled the state order in the specialty “Finance, Banking, Insurance and Stock Market”.
“As for the admissions campaign and those willing to serve in the Armed Forces of Ukraine in positions within financial bodies, I can confidently say that the dynamics are exclusively positive and continue to grow. There is always competition for our specialty. Given that the state order for 2026–2027 is increasing, we hope this trend will continue in the future”, — the interlocutor concluded.
