In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy continues its attacks, but their intensity has decreased. The occupiers are trying to recover after a recent defeat.

This was stated on Army TV by Anastasiia Khaletska, head of the communications unit of the 4th Separate Heavy Mechanized Brigade.

According to her, the nature of actions in the area is currently determined by the weather. Low temperatures make both movement and staying in positions difficult, especially given the operation of Russian UAVs.

As for enemy activity, several weeks ago the Russians attempted to use armored equipment — attacking with several APCs and one tank. The action was unsuccessful: the equipment was immediately destroyed.

“At present, they have returned to using, as before, small infantry groups. Additionally, there has been increased trouble from enemy artillery. In our sector, we observe that the enemy has begun using artillery means and with this fire is trying to locate our UAV operators’ positions, because today this is the highest-priority target for the enemy”, — the head of the communications unit noted.

Regarding the overall situation in the Kupiansk direction, it cannot be said that the enemy continues to exert active pressure. Recent events, Anastasiia Khaletska noted, have somewhat taken the arrogance out of the Russians.

“The success we had in the Kupiansk direction seriously took the edge off their pride. Today, it cannot be said that they continue to press actively. In recent weeks, we have observed a kind of lull, speaking cautiously. Because the situation changes extremely quickly”, — she summarized.
