Today, a Ukrainian delegation arrived in the United States, where negotiations on the details of a potential peace agreement are planned.
This was reported by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
“Today the Ukrainian delegation is already in the United States of America: Rustem Umerov, Kyrylo Budanov, Davyd Arakhamia. Closer to the evening Kyiv time, I expect the first reports on the meetings”, — the Head of State said.
According to him, the main task for the Ukrainian delegation is to provide all real information about what is happening and about the consequences of Russian strikes: among other things, the result of this terror is the discrediting of the diplomatic process, as people lose faith in diplomacy, and Russian strikes constantly worsen even the small opportunities for dialogue that existed.
“The American side must understand this. Progress is needed regarding the documents that were prepared. Ukraine has never been and will never be an obstacle to peace, and it is precisely up to partners now whether diplomacy will develop”, — the President emphasized.
Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Kyrylo Budanov, reported that the Ukrainian delegation has a joint meeting scheduled with Steven Witkoff, Jared Kushner, and Daniel Driscoll.
“Ukraine needs a just peace. We are working for results”, — he added.
