Strengthening air defense systems and missiles for those systems remains a top priority for Ukraine.
This was stated by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
“Partner contributions to the PURL program are needed, as well as support from stockpiles in Europe and faster implementation of agreements with the United States”, — the Head of State said.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported that overnight Russia continued striking Ukrainian communities and energy infrastructure. Dnipropetrovsk, Zhytomyr, Zaporizhzhia, Kharkiv, and Kherson regions were targeted.
The main targets were energy facilities and critical infrastructure that ensure normal life for people — heat and electricity. In the morning, Ukrainian air defense forces were operating in Kyiv; air raid alerts were issued in the capital and the region, as well as in the Chernihiv region.
A total of 113 attack drones were launched. About 70 of them were Shaheds, and there were also missiles — three ballistic ones. The President thanked the defenders who repel Russian air attacks day and night: aviation units, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare and unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces of Ukraine. He also expressed gratitude to everyone working to eliminate the consequences of these attacks.
According to him, strengthening Ukrainian warriors is also critically important now. If Ukraine can counter these Russian attacks one hundred percent, Putin’s terror will lose its meaning.
“This is their advantage right now, and this is what Russia is betting on. We must deprive them of it. This can work and force Russia to stop killing and move toward peace. I am grateful to everyone in the world who is ready to help us”, — Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
