The situation in southern Ukraine remains difficult. Over the past day, 47 combat engagements were recorded in the Huliaipole and Oleksandrivka directions. Enemy aviation is highly active.
This was stated on air by Colonel Vladyslav Voloshyn, spokesperson for the Southern Defense Forces of Ukraine.
“Over the past day, about 30 enemy shellings of frontline settlements were recorded. There is destruction of houses, and local residents were wounded. In particular, a high-pressure gas pipeline was damaged in Kherson, and power lines were damaged in Nikopol”, — Voloshyn said.
Regarding the situation in Huliaipole, he noted that the enemy is attacking the city with all available means, actively using drones, aviation, and artillery. Street fighting is ongoing continuously, virtually for every building.
The enemy is conducting active assault operations in Huliaipole, using infiltration tactics to cut off logistics routes of the Defense Forces.
“Over the past day, we recorded 1,400 FPV drone strikes and about 400 artillery shellings within the area of responsibility of our units”, — the spokesperson said.
