Fighters of the 100th Separate Mechanized Brigade have been holding the defense in the Kostiantynivka direction for a year and a half, which Russians continuously attack using all available forces and means.
This was reported on air by Suspilne News by the press officer of the 100th Separate Mechanized Brigade, Serhii Khominskyi.
“The city of Kostiantynivka has been completely unfit for life for about three to four months. Unfortunately, civilians remain there who did not evacuate in time, and now doing so is extremely difficult. There are no normal living conditions: electricity, gas supply, and water supply are absent. People are essentially surviving while hiding in basements, exposing themselves to deadly danger every day”, — the report says.
The officer also emphasized the importance of defending the city, as the enemy views Kostiantynivka as the “gateway” to the non-occupied part of Donbas.
According to operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, over the past day in the Kostiantynivka direction the enemy carried out 20 attacks near Kostiantynivka, Oleksandro-Shultyne, Pleshchiivka, Ivanopillia, Rusyn Yar, Yablunivka, and toward Sofiivka.
