In the northern part of Pokrovsk, Russian forces attempted to covertly advance toward Ukrainian positions using weather conditions for concealment. The assault attempt was detected in time and thwarted by airborne troops.

This is stated in a video published on the page of the 25th Separate Sicheslav Airborne Brigade of the 7th Rapid Response Corps of the Air Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

According to the brigade, more than 20 Russian infantrymen were involved in the attack. The enemy tried to exploit weather conditions to approach Ukrainian positions unnoticed.

However, the Sicheslav paratroopers detected the movement of the assault group in time and opened fire. As a result of fire engagement, the enemy lost the ability to advance.

After repelling the initial assault, the occupiers attempted to hide in private houses and basements. During follow-up reconnaissance, Ukrainian soldiers identified enemy hiding places and eliminated the assault group.

The released footage captures the moment of repelling the attack as well as the final stage of eliminating Russian infantrymen who attempted to entrench themselves in the northern part of Pokrovsk.
