Six tanks and two IFVs: fiber-optic drones stop a Russian armored assault
Operators of the Perun Unmanned Systems Battalion of the 42nd Mechanized Brigade named after Hero of Ukraine Valerii Hudzi disrupted an enemy mechanized assault attempt on the Novopavlivka axis.
The video of the combat operation was released on January 8.
The invaders committed numerous tanks and armored vehicles to the assault. Pilots of Perun, together with adjacent units, repelled the attack.
One tank was destroyed, five additional tanks and two infantry fighting vehicles were hit. Two infantrymen were also eliminated as they froze in bushes, hoping the drone would not notice them.
The strike drones were provided by one of the volunteer communities.
