Met the full-scale invasion in Donetsk — Sergeant “Bee” operates a radio station
Sergeant Maiya, call sign “Bee”, of the 156th Anti-Aircraft Missile Regiment named after Maksym Kryvonos, has served since 2019, starting as an artillery brigade scout.
This was reported by Air Command “Center”.
“Bee’s native Kherson region is now partially under enemy occupation. Her city is temporarily in captivity. But her heart is free. And it beats in unison with the Ukrainian sky”, — the statement said.
She began her path in the Armed Forces in 2019 as an artillery scout, learning to see the enemy, detect danger, and coordinate fire quickly and accurately. She met the full-scale invasion in Donetsk, and in the first hardest days, her unit held the skies of Donbas.
Today, Maiya is head of a radio station in one of the regiment’s units. She is a critically important link — without her, no result is possible: from detecting an aerial target to its destruction.
Information passes through her hands. Confidence that supports the fighters at positions passes through her voice.
About her comrades, she says simply: “They are strong, resilient. You can rely on them. I’ve been with them since the first day of the full-scale war”.
About herself — even more briefly: “I joined the Armed Forces to at least do something for Victory”.
And she does. Every day. While her home is occupied, she defends the home of millions.
