On the night of January 7 (from 18:00 on January 6), the enemy launched an attack using one Iskander-M ballistic missile from Taganrog, Russia, as well as 95 strike UAVs of the Shahed, Gerbera, and other types, launched from the directions of Primorsko-Akhtarsk and Orel in Russia, and Hvardiiske and Donetsk in temporarily occupied territories. About 60 of them were Shaheds.

This was reported on January 7 by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare units, unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of Ukraine’s Defense Forces.

According to preliminary data, as of 07:30, air defense shot down/suppressed one ballistic missile and 81 enemy UAVs of the Shahed, Gerbera, and other types in the north, center, and east of the country.

Impacts by 14 strike UAVs were recorded at eight locations, as well as the fall of downed drones (debris) at five locations.

“The attack is ongoing; several enemy UAVs remain in the airspace. Follow safety rules!

Let us hold the sky! Together — to victory!” — the Air Force said.
