This made it possible to significantly increase the capabilities of units in countering aerial targets at various levels — from the front line to the protection of rear regions.

This was reported on January 7 by Minister of Defense Denys Shmyhal.

“A separate tool for strengthening capabilities was the work of the DOT-Chain Defence weapons marketplace.

Through the platform, military units ordered and received over 7,000 tactical-level interceptor drones, allowing urgent needs to be met without waiting for centralized deliveries.

Interceptor drones today are a critically important element of a multi-layered air defense system. They make it possible to:

  • preserve expensive air defense missile resources by using more cost-effective means of destruction;

  • increase the density of UAV countermeasures without overloading air defense systems;

  • provide the front with effective solutions to protect personnel, equipment, and logistics”, — Denys Shmyhal wrote.
