Sweden is ready to contribute to security guarantees for Ukraine and the rest of Europe after a peace agreement is reached.

This was announced on social media platform X by Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson following the meeting of the Coalition of the Willing in Paris.

“Significant progress was achieved in Paris when we, members of the Coalition of the Willing, Ukraine, and the United States, met to discuss peace in Ukraine”, — the post said.

According to him, Sweden is ready to help preserve peace in Ukraine, in particular through:

  • Gripen fighter jets for air surveillance over Ukraine;

  • naval assets for demining the Black Sea;

  • continued training of Ukrainian officers.

“This was my message today in Paris at the meeting of the Coalition of the Willing. Naturally, a peace agreement, clear rules for the use of multinational forces, and formal parliamentary approval are prerequisites. Sweden is ready to contribute to peace in Europe”, — the Swedish Prime Minister wrote.
