President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that greater technological capability must become the main task for the Minister of Defense, as it is modern solutions that allow effective counteraction to Russia’s war of attrition tactics.

He said this in his evening address.

“It is precisely through greater technological capability that we must counter Russia’s attempt to make this war endless”, —  Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized.

The President noted that countering the aggressor takes place at all levels of the security and defense sector — in particular through the work of the SBU, intelligence, and other elements of the security system. At the same time, the Ministry of Defense plays a key role in strengthening the resilience of the state and transforming the entire defense structure, including the army.

Separately, Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported on active international work. Ukraine is preparing for meetings in Europe in the near future and continues constant communication with the team of the President of the United States of America. Priorities remain strengthening air defense and overall support for Ukraine.

“There will be new decisions for the sake of our state. The Ukrainian negotiating team is working 24/7”, —  the President noted.

He also heard a report from Minister of Foreign Affairs Andrii Sybiha and instructed him to significantly intensify the implementation of agreements with international partners.

“Last year Ukraine gave many agreements and positive documents. Each document must have — and will have — real results for our resilience”, —  the Head of State concluded.
