President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy responded to the enemy shelling, including an attack on a medical facility in Kyiv, and called on partners to strengthen Ukraine’s air defense.
The Head of State reported this on social media.
“Last night, the Russian army ‘defeated’ yet another hospital — in Kyiv — with a functioning inpatient unit. Patients had to be evacuated. There are injured people. Sadly, one person was killed. My condolences to the family. Everyone who needs assistance is receiving it”, — the statement reads.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported that repair crews, power engineers, and all necessary services are working in those regions where new damage and new outages occurred as a result of enemy shelling.
The President emphasized that overnight the enemy used 165 attack drones, about 100 of which were Shahed drones.
“And our partners must not forget that air defense is needed every day, funds for the production of interceptor drones are needed every day, and equipment for the energy sector is needed every day. We will work over the coming weeks with our European and American partners so that Ukraine has the necessary assistance. I thank everyone who supports our state and our people”, — the President of Ukraine stated.
