The crew of the “Raven” surface-to-air missile system of the Anti-Aircraft Missile Regiment named after the Ukrainian Sich Riflemen of Air Command “West” has destroyed 108 enemy strike and reconnaissance drones and cruise missiles.

The combat path of the crew and the SAM system was reported by the Anti-Aircraft Missile Regiment named after the Ukrainian Sich Riflemen.

Combat operations under constant threat

Behind every downed aerial target stands the complex and coordinated work of air defense warriors. Currently, the “Raven” crew is performing combat missions in southern Ukraine — an area where the enemy actively employs drones and missile weapons.

At the same time, air defense units themselves remain a priority target for the adversary, forcing them to operate under constant danger.

To maintain combat capability and effectiveness, crews must constantly maneuver, carefully camouflage their positions, swiftly engage aerial targets, and promptly change positions after launches.

“We have been in southern Ukraine since spring 2023. Both the people and the combat vehicle have endured many dangers and hardships, but we remain ready to engage in air defense combat and win”, — says the combat crew commander.

We still have a second side for the combat tally

All symbols marking the 108 destroyed targets have been painted on the side of the combat vehicle. There is no free space left for new markings.

“There’s simply no room left here. But that’s not a problem. We still have the other side for the combat tally. We have enough strength, skills, and determination. We are not going to stop”, — the commander emphasizes.

The work of the “Raven” combat crew is a daily contribution to protecting Ukraine’s skies and civilian safety. The air defense gunners continue to carry out their missions under constant risk, destroying enemy aerial attack assets and deterring the aggressor.
