Chief of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense, Lieutenant General Kyrylo Budanov, accepted the proposal of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy to head the Office of the Head of State.

Kyrylo Budanov wrote about this on his channel on January 2.

“I continue to serve Ukraine. I consider the position of Head of the Office of the President as another line of responsibility to the country.

For me, it is an honor and a responsibility — at a historic time for Ukraine — to focus on critically important issues of our state’s strategic security.

Thank you for the trust!

I thank all my brothers-in-arms and the entire team of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine for our joint work. We must continue to do our job — strike the enemy, defend Ukraine, and work toward achieving a just peace.

Together, we continue to fight for a free and secure future of Ukraine! We will endure!” — Kyrylo Budanov noted.
