In the Sumy region, in areas where units of the State Border Guard Service are deployed, the enemy has reduced its activity.

This was reported during the United News telethon by Andrii Demchenko, spokesperson for the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.

“Regarding the Sumy region. In the strips where State Border Guard Service units are located, the enemy has reduced its activity, as for several days the adversary has not conducted assault actions. When such actions do occur, they are carried out using small infantry groups. But once again, the enemy is suffering heavy losses from the actions of our warriors”, — he said.

According to Demchenko, Ukrainian forces are using artillery and unmanned aerial vehicles to strike groups of occupiers.

“Overall, the situation along the border with Belarus differs significantly from what we observe on the border with Russia. We do not record any activity in the direction of our border from Belarusian territory — including the movement of equipment or personnel. As before, Belarus maintains certain units near our border, but their numbers are extremely small”, — Demchenko reported.

He added that despite everything, this direction remains threatening.

“Sotnytskyi Kozachok is also an active direction where the enemy attempted to advance deeper into our country’s territory. The border unit deployed there, together with other components of our Defense Forces, inflicted heavy losses on the enemy. The adversary failed to achieve any result in terms of advancement”, — the spokesperson stated.
